We believe your home is a sacred place, the one place meant to truly restore you. Yet the fabrics closest to your skin are so often made with harsh chemicals and little thought for the planet. Minoa exists to change that.

Minoa was founded in Dubai by Anelle Bakitzhanova and Roger Chedid. Anelle came to it from an unusual path: a childhood spent on ecology projects, then a career in finance that rose to Regional Finance Director in the energy industry where she saw first-hand the true environmental cost of how things are made. She wanted to build something that gave back more than it took.

Roger’s spark came from a different place. Most of us grow up thinking bedsheets are just bedsheets, and never question what we’ve always slept on. But we spend nearly a third of our lives in bed and once you feel what a truly exceptional fabric does for your sleep, it’s hard to go back. What he loves most is that moment of discovery: helping people realise that some of life’s biggest improvements come from the things they use every single day.

We spent years researching sustainable textiles across the mills of France, Italy and China, and brand was named after the ancient Minoan civilisation of Crete: a culture that lived in harmony with nature and made beauty that lasted. Quality without excess. That idea runs through everything we make.
